Nevada Property Tax Exemption for Veterans
Nevada veterans with a service-connected disability rating are eligible for a property tax exemption that reduces the assessed value of their primary residence. The exemption amount is $10,000 for veterans with a service-connected disability rating below 60%, and $20,000 for veterans rated 60% or higher.
How to Apply
Apply at your county assessor’s office. You will need your VA disability rating letter (also called a ratings decision or notification letter) and proof of Nevada residency. Applications must be filed by June 15 for the following tax year.
